Vikings Taking Over The Music World: An Introduction to Miike Snow

Recently, musicians from Sweden have been taking the world by storm. These modern-day Vikings are doing a much better job than their predecessors, as they are not only making a larger impact on the world but their music has inspired many others to follow in their footsteps. Many of us have heard of Avicii (also known as Tim Berg) & Swedish House Mafia (which comprises of  DJs Axwell, Steve Angello, and Sebastian Ingrosso). However, besides these heavyweights in the house scene, there are other notable Swedish artists and groups as well (besides ABBA). One of the groups which I have been listening to a lot recently is the Swedish indie band Miike Snow. Miike Snow are far from new; they were formed in 2007 by childhood buddies Christain Karlsson & Pontus Winnberg (who are also known as Bloodshy & Avant) as well Andrew Wyatt. The Guardian newspaper spoke very highly of the group, saying they are"coolly emotional pop suggests a-ha meets Animal Collective." The group and their music have appeared on various television shows ranging from Jimmy Kimmel Live! to the Jersey Shore (note: most of the cast from the Jersey Shore are not actually from New Jersey; trust us, we know). I myself am not the biggest fan of indie music. However, Miike  Snow has gotten me hooked, and I think you should give them a try. Below, you will find their video Devil's Work. I hope you enjoy it!
